Our Mission

 

The goal of the County Clerk's Office is to make most efficient and reliable access to our records. The County Clerk is the Local Registrar for filing and recording all birth and death certificates in the county, Trust Fund Records, Official Bond Records, Military Discharge Records and other miscellaneous records. The County Clerk is responsible for legal instruments which include real and personal property, power of attorney filings, bonds, plats, marks and brands, assume names, deputation records, issuance of bail bond checks, beer and wine hearings, safekeeping of wills, probate, and Commissioners' Court minutes.

 

 

Visa, MasterCard and Discover are now accepted.

Arrangements for credit card payments may be made by calling (254) 697-7049. A convenience fee will be charged for all credit card payments by the vendor providing this service. The fee covers the cost of making payment by credit card possible. No part of this fee is retained by Milam County.

 

The Milam County Clerk’s Office will issue Marriage License Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

 

Effective June 29th, 2015 the Milam County Clerk's Office will issue Same Sex Marriage License's per Supreme Court Ruling June 26th 2015
