Mission Statement
My mission and the mission of my Deputies to Milam County is set on the principles of improving the quality of life through the prevention of crime, protection of life and property, and to safeguard the constitutional guarantees of the people.
My Office is committed to maintaining the highest level of professionalism and organizational integrity and to promote an environment where there is no room for bias or prejudice. I will continue to conservatively and carefully manage the resources of my Office as provided by the people of Milam County.
Sheriff's Spotlight

Sheriff Greene recognizes Investigator Mike Clore for his hard work and determination in helping to bring over 80 drug dealers to justice.
Investigator Clore was assigned to the Special Investigations Unit in March of 2010. Since that appointment he has filed over 110 narcotics cases in Milam County. In 2011 Investigator Clore filed 64 cases, 57 of which were felony grade offenses, thereby putting 43 people away in jail for selling narcotics.
On January 28, 2012 Investigator Clore was honored for his hard work at the Rockdale Officer of the Year Awards Banquet. Rockdale Police Chief Thomas
Harris and Rockdale Lt. J.D. Newlin
presented Investigator Clore with a plaque
in recognition of his achievement.
