Our Mission

Our goal of the County Clerk's Office is to make the most efficient and reliable access to our records.  The County Clerk is the Local Registrar for filing and recording all birth and death certificates in the county, trust fund records, official bond records, Military Discharge Records and other miscellaneous records.  The County Clerk is responsible for legal instruments which include real and personal property, power of attorney filings, bonds, plats, marks and brands, assume names, deputation records, issuance of bail bond checks, beer and wine permits, wills for safekeeping, probates, guardianships, civil cases, misdemeanor cases and Commissioner's Court Minutes.

  • Pursuant to Texas Agriculture Code 144.044 all Marks, Brands, Tattoos and Ear Tags currently registered with the Milam County Clerk will expire on August 30, 2021. The renewal period for your Marks/Brands/Tattoos/Ear Tags is August 31, 2021 through February 28, 2022. On March 1, 2022, all marks and brands that have not been renewed will be considered unclaimed and eligible for registration on a first come first serve basis.
